Inspiration Brittany
I take a lot of photographs when I travel. The images are a short hand sketchbook for ideas about patterning, that I refer to for inspiration. While I don't paint bicycles; they are a particular interest because of their universal method of transportation. I have seen that issues around bicycles and cars sharing the road is also universal. It is a greater challenge in old cities to carve out bike lanes with buildings built to the curb and bridges built long before cars were even imagined. I photographed this series last August while travelling for ten days in Brittany France.
I know spring is officially here in Canada and I saw some Snowdrops, the first sign of the new season, while walking my dog last night but it is still cold here. So I'm sharing some Breton warmth; our flowers will be here soon.
